1: Team Communication – Slack

  • Slack is a very useful app that will allow us to communicate efficiently and fast. It is capable of making group messages, direct messages and includes the option for us to createa variety of categories for us to communicate through. We can have it on our phones or as a website so it is very versatile.

2: Document Sharing – Dropbox

  • Drop box is a universal document sharing app that can be used on any device or make. It is very easy to use and we can send information to people without dropbox as well, Just send a link . We will be able to send files as large as our space quota will allow us, no limits wiht email links.

3: Version Control – GitHub

  • GitHub is a software that is very easy to use. We will be using this because of it’s  It features good desktop tools for working with the site, project site hosting and code reviews.
  • It has a somewhat restricted version control support and you will have to pay to use for a more private use

4: Prototyping – InVision

  • InVision is a very popular tool for designers. We will be able to use it on our computers and through an app on our phones. It has a ton of features that will allow us to have real in-time collaberation and presentation with many features and it supports a wide range of popular graphic formats.

5: Time Tracking – Push

  • Push will allow us to smoothly punch in and punch out of work. It offers seamless time-off request and swift swap without having to alwasy contact a supervisor. It’s in app request service allows you to make any request you want and a manager or supervisor will approve it as soon as they get to it.
  • A downside to it is that it can be a little bit glitchy at times.

6: Project Management – ClickUp

  • We will be implenmenting ClickUp for it’s easy accessiblity and 1 platform for all moto. We will be able to use it for complete customization, and powerful apps that we will be able to toggle on and off depending on what your needs are. You will be able to automatically import your stuff from other ‘productivity’ apps in minutes and it’s easy to instantly bring us all together.

7: Code Testing – W3C

  • W3C is the most well known code testing that our coders will be using. You can put code in by URL, File Upload, or by Direct Input. It will tell you whats wrong on each line of code and show you how to fix things. This code tester will test HTML, XHTML, SMIL, MathML but if you want to code other things like CSS you will be able to find code specific sections in the site.

8: Code Marketing Analytics – Google Analytics

  • This a basic but most well known analytics website. We will be using it to track our websites. Things that we can do with it is know where our web visitors are coming from, how they came to know our website, the amount of time they spent on your website, etc. It can also be integrated with other google apps like Google Adwords and Google Data Studio.
  • The down fall to it is that if you want the premium version, it cost about $100k anually.

9: SEO – Ahrefs

  • Ahrefs is second to Google when it comes to being one of the largest web crawlers. We will be using it to Optomize our website, analyze our competitors, Find out what customers are searching for, learn what of our content is the most searched, and most importantly track our process. It is simple to use so any of us will be able to learn and use Ahrefs.

10: Page Speed Testing – Pingdom Speed Test

  • We will be using Pingdom to test how fast our sites are. It is free to use, but because of that, reports are less detailed than other paid services. It’s a useful tool because it breaks down each webiste with a score out of 100, and tells you what is specifically slowing down your site so you can fix and enhance. It checks the response codes, content size, request types, requests by domain and a waterfall chart that lets us see details on our files load times.
