The forecast for Victoria, BC this week was either Rain or overcast/ fog. I tried my best with what weather I was given. I am using a Nikon D3200 with an 18-55mm lens.

I choose to take my pictures in a park with some beautiful big and dramatic trees, this is my automatic shot.

CAMERA_1 PART 1-3

This is my mid-value image. the metering mode is spot and my f-number was f/8 with an exposure time of 1/80. It’s very interesting to see the change in metering when the lens is pointed at different spots.

CAMERA_1 PART 1-2

I focused the spot metering to the darkest part of the image causing it to take more light in. The f-number this time around was f/6.3

CAMERA_1 PART 1-1

As you can tell, this is the spot metering focused on a light part of an image. the F-number shot up all the way to f/16. I could notice right away while taking the photo that it was going to register very dark.
